Dan Fisher began performing stand up comedy in 2007 at an open mic; he drove an hour and a half, not only so he wouldn’t embarrass himself in front of people he knew, but because it was the only club in the area at the time. He did okay and continued performing at every opportunity. In 2012 when Helium Comedy Club opened in Buffalo, Dan immediately became a regular, appearing on stage there a shit-ton. That same year, Dan participated in the Buffalo Laugh-Off where he was a top 5 finalist out of 75 comics from all over New York and Ontario.
He now resides in New York City, and has been a featured act at numerous clubs in the United States and Canada, numerous colleges, the United States Coast Guard Academy, and plenty of bars that have microphones and milk crates to stand on. He has opened for great national headliners; most recently Doug Stanhope, Godfrey, Kevin Brennen, Dov Davidoff, Rory Scovel, Pablo Francisco, Hal Sparks, and Steve Rannazzisi. While Dan has been working in stand-up comedy for seven years, he draws from his entire joke of a life for inspiration.
